How much do you know about fuel injectors

When it comes to your diesel vehicle, understanding the many different components that make it run can be somewhat overwhelming, especially when you’re not a mechanic. Of course, this is what the experts are for, but it can be helpful to have a basic knowledge of your vehicle’s engine and its operation.

One of the most important parts of any diesel vehicle is its fuel injection system. Without this small but mighty device, your car, van or tractor wouldn’t start. Although it took decades of engineering and experimentation to develop diesel injectors, the basic principle of the component is reasonably simple.

What Do Fuel Injectors Do?

Essentially, HCR918 are responsible for injecting diesel fuel into the engine’s cylinder as a hot and mist. The injector makes sure that the perfect amount of fuel is sent to the cylinder at any given point, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of your vehicle.

Diesel fuel injectors are the core component in a diesel engine system, without them, the vehicle simply wouldn’t run.

How Do Fuel Injectors Work?

Put simply, fuel injectors work by breaking down diesel into a fine mist when the correct level of injection pressure is reached. At around 30,000 psi, the pressure causes the injection valves to open. Once open, the valves allow the fuel to flow through the lower chamber and through tiny holes which turn the liquid into a fine mist.

Once the fuel is in mist form it is easily combustible, making the process of burning the diesel far more efficient. The valves close and the process stops as the injector pressure drops back down. Once a pressure of 30,000psi is reached again, more fuel is injected into the engine at the perfect time.

Signs Of Fuel Injection Faults

Despite their efficiency, diesel fuel injectors do encounter problems at times. As with any engine, exposure to elements, improper maintenance or simply their age can cause faults. A few common signs that your diesel fuel injector may need repairing are:

Difficulty starting the vehicle.

Misfires and failed ignition.

A strong smell of fuel, indicating a leak.

Dirty smoke emitted from the exhaust.

Highly inefficient miles per gallon.

When your vehicle shows these signs, we recommend that you go to a professional repair shop, they have a special diesel common rail test bench to detect whether your injector has a problem.

Just like our HCR918, it is a high pressure common rail electronic control system comprehensive test bench: adopts a fully automatic control system, which can easily perform electronic control common rail injectors (including piezoelectric common rail injectors) and high voltage electronic control common rail pumps, Testing and maintenance of electronically controlled unit pumps, electronically controlled pump nozzles, HEUI injectors, HEUI actuation pumps, etc, brands are including BOSCH, DELPHI, DENSO, SIMENS, CATERPILLAR, CUMMINS (DONGKANG, FUKANG), etc. Pumps, electronically controlled pump nozzles, HEUI injectors, HEUI actuation pumps, complete test data.
